I've really got to stop working in retail. Seriously, it's spoiling all the holidays for me.

Sorry, my dear watchers, that I've been disappearing off the face of the internets so much recently. Real life has been tumultuous lately. Suffice it to say that financial problems, car problems, trying to spend time with friends, and above all, exercising, has been cutting into my art time. However, the finances are steadily improving, and my car should be seaworthy in a week or so (if not sooner). The Friday night RP sessions are grating on my last nerve, though. I think I'm getting burnt out on Star Wars Saga Edition. *Tears at hair* "NO... MORE... STARSHIPS! NEED MORE ROLEPLAY/CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT...!" *ahem* Hey! I've lost seven pounds since I wrote in this journal last! That's good news, right?! It's hard work, but I've been able to stay motivated. Here's to hoping there's even less of me next month!

I've really been too frazzled for art lately. My man recently got over an awful (and frankly, terrifying) bout of the flu and later, bronchitis. I stayed flu-free, miraculously*, despite playing nurse the whole time. And then my car mysteriously ran out of coolant on my way home from the bank. It's trying to kill me, I swear. But it's alright now, because I'm taking it to get looked at on Friday.

Alright, I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't love all yous guys, 'cause it makes me sound even crazier than I really am. I found myself with a renewed motivation to create this morning after having an incredible dream last night. The dream was essentially a fantasy I think all artists/writers have about having the time and dedication to their craft. My man and I had somehow managed to sit down and write a couple of books in our fantasy setting, and they really took off, so we were able to write all sorts of graphic novels and regular novels and there was a movie deal in the works... *sigh* I know that'll never happen, but it's enough to get me to open a word processor, you know? In that dream we were so prolific- it was crazy. Stacks and stacks of comic books, novels, graphic novels, short stories, you name it. I had a team of people to draw my world for me. A team. There were CGI elves, damn it! It was fantastic!

But I'm ranting now. I'm going to do my best to start drawing again, but I can't promise it'll be coherent due to my increasingly hectic work schedule. Speaking of hectic, I didn't realize until today that I'm over 3,000 pageviews. So... suggestions?
